Travel Tips for The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan

Families

It would be logical to assume that an upscale, elegant resort hotel would sort of turn its nose up at the thought of having children visit.  Well, the Grand Hotel delivers quite a surprise in this area.  It has been named as one of the 50 best family-friendly resorts by Travel & Leisure Family Magazine, and with good reason.  This is a child friendly destination.

While we didn't have any children with us during our stay, we did observe part of the children's program.  It's a diverse and well planned program to provide your children a good time while you are relaxing or participating in other activities.   And, because you are staying at the Grand, there is no charge for the program.  It's offered from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and details can be found here.  In addition, your children ages 11 and younger are complimentary in your room, including the same meals you will be having.  And for children ages 12 to 17, the charge is only $55 per night.
